How this site is funded
PackRated.com may earn revenue from display advertising, and may in future participate in affiliate programs where a link to a product or service pays a commission on a resulting purchase. This page discloses that plainly, as the United States Federal Trade Commission requires.
What a commission does not buy
No advertiser, affiliate partner or sponsor has any influence over editorial content. Specifically:
- No company can pay to appear in an article, be described favorably, or have criticism removed.
- No commission rate affects which standard, method or approach an article describes.
- No advertiser sees an article before it publishes.
- Correction requests are handled identically whether or not the party advertises here.
This matters more than usual for this subject. Almost every other source on packaging specifications is published by a company selling boxes, testing or freight. A reference site that quietly sold the same influence would be worth nothing.
